Region01
Colombo & Negombo
Where almost every route begins and ends. The airport sits just outside Negombo, so your first and last nights can land by the beach rather than an hour inland — a small decision that quietly saves you half a day.
Sri Lankan tour guides & private drivers
We plan the route, then drive it with you — an English-speaking local driver-guide and a vehicle of your own, for as many days as you like.

The island, region by region
Complete transparency before you book. We break down every key destination, from Anuradhapura down to the south coast, so you can see the route and the hours your driver-guide will cover between each stop — and arrive with zero surprises about travel fatigue.
Region01
Where almost every route begins and ends. The airport sits just outside Negombo, so your first and last nights can land by the beach rather than an hour inland — a small decision that quietly saves you half a day.
Region02
Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and Sigiriya sit close enough together to see properly without long transfers between them. Minneriya and its elephants are a short hop from the rock, which is why we often pair the two into a single morning.
Region03
Jaffna and the far north: a different language, a different kitchen and far fewer visitors. It is also the longest drive on the island, so it belongs in a route only when you have the days to give it — and we will tell you honestly if you do not.
Region04
Trincomalee, Pasikudah and Arugam Bay. The east and the south run on opposite monsoons, so the right coast for you depends entirely on the month you travel. Tell us when you are coming and we will point the route at the coast that is working.
Region05
Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella. Tea estates, cool air and the train ride half our travellers come to Sri Lanka for. The climb is slow by nature, so we break it into short, scenic legs instead of one long day behind glass.
Region06
Galle Fort, Mirissa and the string of beaches that make the natural end of a route. This is where itineraries slow right down — and where travellers most often ask us to add another day.
Not sure how these fit together? That is the part we plan — and the part we drive.

“I want to see Sigiriya, take the scenic train in the tea country, and go on a safari, but I have no idea how to map out the route efficiently without wasting half my trip sitting in a vehicle.”
The gap between two places on a map and the hours it actually takes to drive between them is where most trips lose their time. Getting that order right, then putting someone behind the wheel who knows the roads, the sites and when to set off, is the whole job — and we do it before you commit to booking anything at all.

What we drive
Start from a blank map or start from a theme — either way the duration, the regions and the pace are yours to set, and the same driver-guide takes you through all of it.
Our most popular way to travel
You tell us what you want to see. We draft a route that links it together in an order that actually makes sense — combining the Cultural Triangle with the South Coast, adding the East, slowing down wherever you want to.
Regional packages you can still bend to fit.

What travellers say
We had an amazing time exploring Sri Lanka! The itinerary was perfectly paced, and we never felt rushed. We loved the scenic train ride to Ella and the Yala safari. Our driver was so knowledgeable and always on time.
Ceylon Uncovered planned everything beautifully. We decided we wanted to stay an extra day in Mirissa to relax by the beach, and they adjusted our bookings mid-trip without any fuss. Highly recommend.
Great experience from start to finish. We wanted a mix of culture and wildlife, and the route through Anuradhapura down to Kandy and the East Coast was exactly what we needed.
A family of four, two young children, one big worry.
They wanted history and wildlife, but were worried about long distances in the car with small children. So we started them in the Cultural Triangle — Sigiriya early in the morning, then a quick elephant safari at Minneriya — and broke the route through the Hill Country into short, scenic legs rather than one long haul.
Then we filled the gaps with stops the children would actually enjoy: a wood carving centre on the way, a turtle hatchery down south. Nobody spent a day staring out of a window.
